Course title: Gender Equality, Human Rights, and Me
Audience: OHCHR staff at HQ and in the field (including managers, human rights and programme officers, and general service staff)
Concept: The module will provide introductory guidance on integrating gender equality and women's empowerment in the OHCHR context. Participants will learn about OHCHR's commitment to gender equality, and how a gender perspective can be integrated into OHCHR's internal processes and work in standard-setting, advocacy, research, monitoring and implementation on the ground.
Learning Objectives: The module will strengthen the knowledge and skills of OHCHR staff (managers, program officers, or general service staff) to integrate a gender perspective into their daily work. At the end of the course, you will be able to:
1. Explain why gender equality is important and the basic concepts and instruments around it
2. Recall the accountability frameworks for gender equality and understand your gender integration role and responsibilities.
3. Apply the basic steps of gender analysis in your daily work.
Outcome: create conditions for behavioral change (enhanced gender perspective applied in work of OHCHR staff)
